Elopement Weddings

These are weddings where the two of you travel somewhere to get married without telling anybody or by only inviting a few guests. These weddings have become very popular since COVID and most wedding venues now offer packages to cater.

Benefits

  1. You save money - the average cost of a wedding in now just under £32000. If you are saving for a house you can imagine that making savings by having an elopement wedding is an attractive option. It also allows you to travel to get married and incorporate the honeymoon and still make a saving!

  2. Avoiding family politics - need I explain further.

  3. A traditional wedding doesn’t make sense to you - the white dress or the giving away isn’t everyones cup of tea. An elopement wedding allows you to avoid all of this.

  4. You’re not the planning type - I don’t blame you. An elopement wedding requires minimal planning and allows you to just do it without all of the fuss.

  5. You are marrying later in life or having a second wedding - an elopement allows for a simpler affair.

  6. It can be a secret - an elopement allows you to keep the secret for as long as you want. maybe you just want to tell the family after you’re both married.

  7. You still want a legal marriage - an elopement is just as legal and in my opinion a far better alternative that going to the local registry office.
