Lucy & Ryan
The Aviator | All saints church, odiham | meade hall, blackwater
I first met Lucy in a quaint little coffee shop in Odiham. It was some time ago now, however I remember leaving a wedding album on the table for Lucy to have a look through whilst I got the coffees in. When I returned, Lucy had made her decision and said she wanted to book me. It was one of the quickest wedding meetings I have ever had.
Lucy then discussed her plans for the big day and we walked over to All Saints Church where the ceremony was due to take place. It was my first time visiting this church and I must say, it was huge and very, very impressive!
Roll on a year or so to August 2024 and it was time to go through the photography planning for the day. We met again, at the church and I met Ryan for the first time. Ryan is as tall as a tree, no make that The Empire State Building. He is huge! Lucy showed me a field that she wanted some photos taken in (we never did go there but that's weddings for you). Once all of the timeings were set, we were ready to go.
The 31st August was a little overcast. rain threatened throughout the day. Lucy and her bridemaids got ready at The Aviator, Farnborough. No bridal prep photos were required other than a first look at the dress by Dad and shots of Lucy getting into the car. Ah, and of course, photos on the iconic staircase! Then we drove the short distance to Odiham for the church wedding. As you will see from the photos, it was awesome. The reception was held at Meade Hall, Blackwater.
It was a great wedding and unusal as there were no speeches or first dance. This was actually really refreshing as the day became about the couple and their friends and family with no distractions.
